You must provide your actual signed passport, including one copy of the personal information page of your passport. Your passport must:
Be valid for the next six months
Have at least one blank visa page. Amendments and endorsement pages cannot be used to fulfill this requirement
Not be frayed, torn, separating, or altered in any other way
Photographs
You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:
Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
Be taken against an all white background free of shadows
Be 51 mm by 51 mm in size
Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
You may wear neither glasses nor headwear except for religious purposes
Your photos should not be affixed to your application and they may not display evidence of adhesive or staples
Visa Application Form
The Consulate of Taiwan has instituted a web-based visa application form. The application must be completed online and then printed. Details can be found at: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw We cannot process your visa request if you do not complete the application form online. Your completed application must:
Include answers for all fields
Display your full name as it appears in your passport
Be signed
Business Cover Letter
You are required to provide a Business Introduction Letter from your Canadian-based company. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays an Canadian mailing address. Use the sample Business Introduction Letter provided at https://cibtvisas.ca/forms?formname=Canada-Business-Cover-Letter-Sample.pdf using the exact language and format provided in order to prevent a rejection and possible delays with your visa request.
Letter of Invitation
You must provide an official letter of invitation from the company or organization that you will be visiting. The letter must:
Be written on an official company letterhead and display an official company seal
State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e., business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.)
Include the inviter's full name
Include the full local address and phone number of the company or organization you will be visiting
Specify the number of entries and desired validity of the visa you are requesting
Proof of Travel Arrangements
You must provide proof of travel arrangements for the duration of your trip. Details of your intended arrangements must:
Include a copy of an itinerary or e-ticket showing entry and exit date
Show your full name as printed in your passport
Proof of Sufficient Funds
You must provide proof that you possess sufficient funds. Your financial details must:
Include a copy of your most recent bank statement
Display your full name
